Meet Jaxon

For Jaxon, who lives with Merosin-deficient congenital muscular dystrophy, the social isolation and mobility challenges that come with his condition are constant. But through MDNSW’s Young Adults Retreat, he’s found a place where he belongs – a supportive community where friendships are forged, and memories are made.

Young Adult Retreats aren’t just events. They’re opportunities for young people like Jaxon to connect in ways that wouldn’t otherwise be possible.

"Being surrounded by people my own age made me more confident and open with my peers,” - Jaxon Taylor
